Abbaye de Noirlac / Juin 2019

Restitution d’ateliers réunissant des élèves de 3e du collège Béthune Sully et des résidents de la maison de retraite Les Cèdres d'Henrichemont (Cher) que j’ai eu la chance d’accompagner avec deux autres artistes, le compositeur Jean-Christophe Désert et l’écrivain Patrick Varetz. Ces ateliers ont été organisés dans le cadre de la manifestation Les Futurs de l'écrit, organisée par l'abbaye de Noirlac et accompagné par Frédéric Terrier et l’association Les Mille Univers.

Avec Patrick Varetz et Jean-Christophe Désert, Nous avons donné aux élèves des clefs pour apprendre à réaliser des enregistrements sonores de qualité, à photographier et organiser un studio photo, à écrire et travailler un texte. Les élèves du collège ont passé plusieurs demi-journées avec une dizaine de résidents de la maison de retraite. Ils les ont interviewés, enregistrés, photographiés. Dès les premières séances, une réelle complicité s’est installée entre eux.

Les textes, les enregistrements sonores et les photographies présentés à l’abbaye de Noirlac pendant le week-end du 8 et 9 juin 2019 ont été réalisés par les élèves sous notre regard attentif. Un livre relatant cette expérience a été édité par les Éditions Les Mille Univers.

Report on workshops with 3rd year students from Béthune Sully secondary school and residents of Les Cèdres, a retirement home in Henrichemont (Cher), which I was lucky enough to accompany along with two other artists, composer Jean-Christophe Désert and writer Patrick Varetz. These workshops were organised as part of the event Les Futurs de l'écrit, organised by Noirlac Abbey and supported by Frédéric Terrier and the association Les Mille Univers.

With Patrick Varetz and Jean-Christophe Désert, we gave the pupils the keys to learning how to make high-quality sound recordings, how to photograph and set up a photo studio, and how to write and work on a text. Pupils from the school spent several half-days with a dozen residents of the retirement home. They interviewed, recorded and photographed them. From the very first sessions, a real sense of complicity developed between them.

The texts, sound recordings and photographs presented at Noirlac Abbey over the weekend of 8 and 9 June 2019 were produced by the students under our watchful eye. A book recounting this experience has been published by Les Mille Univers.
